- This badge is awarded upon the completion of an intensive 6 months training course in the area of Advanced Digital IC Design and Verification. This training is conducted by the Center of Nanoelectronics devices at the American University in Cairo in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication & Information Technology. The CAD tools trained on include Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, Siemens’s flow (Tanner EDA: S-Edit, L-Edit, W-Edit, Calibre), Questa, and Intel’s Quartus. The training covers the below 6 courses: 1- Introduction to Digital Design 2- Introduction to Silicon Process & VLSI 3- Introduction to Analog Electronics 4- Advanced Digital Design 5- Digital Testing and Verification 6- Advanced Full Custom VLSI Design - These modules are delivered by industry experts and top professors from around the world (Intel, Bosch, Nortel, Qualcomm, Siemens...etc.).
